The dictionary defines Quest as seeking for something important. I am on a journey through mortality. This life is not my permanent home. I believe I am a child of God and that I have a divine nature.
God is our Heavenly Father, the God of this Universe and many others. He is the King of Kings. Being born of Him spiritually in the pre-mortal world makes me of Royal Birth. And so are you.
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
All human beings are children of loving heavenly parents and possess seeds of divinity within them. In His infinite love, God invites His children to cultivate their eternal potential by the grace of God, through the Atonement of the Lord Jesus Christ.56 The doctrine of humans’ eternal potential to become like their Heavenly Father is central to the gospel of Jesus Christ and inspires love, hope, and gratitude in the hearts of faithful Latter-day Saints.
We are all literally children of God, spiritually begotten in the premortal life. As His children, we can be assured that we have divine, eternal potential and that He will help us in our sincere efforts to reach that potential.
Quest for Queen.
Not only do I have a Heavenly Father but I have a Heavenly Mother who is the Queen of Queens. Because of that royal blood in my veins I am a queen in the making. This is the Plan of our Heavenly Father and Mother, that we can become like them.
Psalms 82:6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.
I have faith in the plan of our Heavenly Father that I can become just like her, a Queen. I am seeking on this earth to live accordingly that I may rise to the status of Queen in the next life and return to live in the Royal Courts on high.
Thus, this life on earth is a Quest–to become like them.
Lorenzo Snow: “As man now is, God once was: As God now is, man may be.
It may sound like a Fairy Tale…but Religion is about faith, and faith is “the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (Hebrews 11:1) As in Fairy Tales like “once upon a time” and “happily ever after” we feel the wonder and the magic. We experience the adventure, the love, and even the evil. The good always conquers evil. It makes you feel good and makes you want to believe.
So what is belief without faith? And what is faith without hope? And how can you know good if you don’t know the evil?
A Spiritual Journey.
My quest is a spiritual journey to discover that Queen inside of me. It is a journey to develop those attributes that are necessary.
I believe that God sent His Son, Jesus Christ. This is His Kingdom on earth and in seeking to fulfill my quest I will also be helping to build up His Kingdom.
And not only that, but Christ was sent to help us return Home.
And my greatest hope and desire is to someday return to live with my Heavenly Father and Mother again and to live with them through all Eternity!
Where all who dwell there will live happily forever after! Worlds Without End.
